Day Four on The Hercules Diet

EggsToday I had a bad one.

I have never been so emotional about food before. In fact, at times I was getting downright cranky.

I had quite a full on training session today.

3 hours in the gym in total throughout the day. First I did my weights routine, followed by my bodyweight routine, then onto 25 minutes on the heavy bag. As if this wasn’t enough I decided to end that session with 25 minutes on the treadmill.

I had to cheat today. I made myself scrambled eggs (without milk) with Himalayan pink salt.

Before anyone tries to take my head off, this was after nearly passing out a couple of times and intense cramps throughout my muscle groups.

I don’t know if this was purely from the change of diet, or just not getting enough calories on my workout days?

I feel a lot chi internally, but my physical energy constantly has highs and lows. I must admit the highs are more often, but the lows are more intense.

I wonder how much of the cravings are psychological? Even after the eggs, they continued. They are mainly for meat and vegetables, I guess I need more protein.

I felt pretty damned good the rest of the day from that point on.

I am really appreciating the detox, although I am definitely ready to eat normally again!

You can do it Glen, just stick to it! Just keep thinking that you can eat as soon as it’s over…

  2. Fulla says:

Be careful! Detox diets are not designed for people who do 3 hours of gym workout a day. …your body needs fuel and energy. …listen to your body and good luck.

I agree with Fulla. Detox diets are designed to flush the system. This means that you should be drinking at least twice the amount of water that you usually do, or you can easily become dehydrated. Water should also help remedy headaches and muscle cramps.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the input.

I’ve been drinking about 3 litres of water a day to compensate.

    Cheers for that

    Glen
